GAME OF LIFE is based on the personal story of bluemouth inc. artist Lucy Simic; a two-part exploration of mortality, the urgency of time, and the holding and letting go of relationships. Expect laughter, dancing and moments that will stay with you long after the night ends.
LOSS (2024)
Projection Design
Loss is an intimate, multi-media performance that retells an intergenerational family story written by Ian Kamau and his father Roger McTair. Framed by the emotional landscape of a winter marked by depression, the work gradually uncovers the mystery surrounding the death of Kamau’s paternal grandmother, Nora Elutha Rogers. Through a layered composition of live music, video, and storytelling, Loss reflects on grief within Afro-Caribbean communities and invites the audience into a collective process of remembrance and healing.
