Jeremy Mimnagh is a Toronto-based photographer, filmmaker, and media designer whose work spans photography, film, live performance, and installation. His practice explores the relationship between movement, image, and space, working across still and moving image to document, interpret, and create dance and theatre.
For more than two decades, Jeremy has collaborated with choreographers, dancers, theatre-makers, musicians, and cultural institutions across Canada and internationally. His work ranges from performance photography and dance film to stage projection and sound design. He is particularly interested in the ways images can extend beyond the frame and become part of a live, spatial experience.
Jeremy is an Artistic Associate with adelheid and has created work with a wide range of artists and organizations, including Toronto Metropolitan University, York University, Dance Arts, Harbourfront Centre, CBC, Citadel + Compagnie, Toronto Dance Theatre, Factory Theatre, The Theatre Centre, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Soulpepper Theatre Company, Crow's Theatre, The Royal Conservatory of Music, Canadian Stage, Theatre Passe Muraille, Aluna Theatre, Nightswimming Theatre Company, Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Rusticle, Why Not Theatre, The National Ballet of Canada, Volcano Theatre, Necessary Angel Theatre Company, Great Canadian Theatre Company, SummerWorks, and Luminato Festival.

His feature-length documentary Jamaican, created in collaboration with choreographer Peter Chin, won Best Documentary at the Caribbean Lens International Film Festival in Los Angeles. His photography and films have been presented in galleries, theatres, festivals, and performance spaces across Canada and internationally.
Whether working behind the camera or within a live production, Jeremy approaches each project as a collaboration—looking for the visual language that best reflects the people, movement, and ideas at its centre.
