Jeremy Mimnagh is a Toronto-based photographer, sound designer, and video artist who works in live performance, film, and installation.
He photographs dance and theatre across studios, black boxes, and mainstage theatres, and builds sound and projection environments for performance. The two sides of his work feed each other: he comes to sound design as someone who thinks visually, and to photography as someone who understands what it takes to make a piece work from the inside.
Recent projects include sound design and photography for the world premiere of k(not)now, choreographed by Heidi Strauss for Ottawa Dance Directive's 15th anniversary at Arts Court (June 2026); and media design for Storyline (with laughter, tears and beauty), a new work by Peggy Baker for dancer Julia Sasso, presented as part of Art Nest at TOAF's 65th anniversary at Nathan Phillips Square (July 2026).
Other recent credits include projection design for Loss, which premiered at The Apollo Stages at the Victoria Theatre in Harlem, and video design for bluemouth inc.'s The Game of Life, currently touring the US, including the Wexner Center for the Arts.
His film work includes documentary, short fiction, and commercial projects. His photography documents the Canadian performing arts landscape and has appeared in theatres, festivals, and cultural publications across the country.
He is based in Toronto and takes on work across Canada and internationally.
