The iconic Cirque du Soleil big top can now be seen along Lake Shore Blvd standing nearly 65 feet tall at Ontario Place as Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities presented by Sun Life Global Investments gets ready to welcome audiences once again, beginning April 14.  Completing its six-day setup, a team of almost 100 people came together to unfurl the canvas and raise the roof on the intimate setting that will house the critically acclaimed show, Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities.
“Our iconic Big Top taking its place in the Toronto skyline is a special moment” said Mike Newquist, president of touring show division at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. “It’s the first to be raised in Canada since the relaunch of our shows and we're excited to say 'take your seats!'"
“I am delighted to welcome the return of Cirque du Soleil to Ontario Place this spring, and I’m looking forward to seeing their exciting new show Kurios – Cabinet of Curiosities,” said Lisa MacLeod, minister of heritage, sport, tourism and culture industries. “The raising of the big top is an exciting milestone for our province – marking the return of an incredible performance that will bring joy to people of all ages, and a much-needed boost to Ontario’s tourism sector.”
